Meditation for Children & Teenagers

One of Sam's great passions is teaching young people to meditate. There is no better gift than the ability to self-soothe, self-rest and come back to a calm mind, a skill that serves them for the rest of their lives.

Why it starts with you

Children learn far more from their parents and home life than from being told what to do. That is why Sam only teaches children when at least one parent already practises Vedic meditation and the child is genuinely keen. When meditation is simply part of family life, it becomes normal, and it sticks.

Common questions

Do I have to meditate too?

Ideally, yes. Children absorb far more from how their parents live than from what they are told. Sam only teaches children when at least one parent already practises Vedic meditation, and the child is genuinely open to learning.

Is it suitable for my child's age?

There are two age-appropriate courses: ages 7 to 12, and ages 13 to 15. At sixteen, young people can sit in on the full adult Vedic meditation course and receive their adult mantra.

What will my child actually learn?

A simple, effortless meditation they can do on their own, plus, for teenagers, the tools to handle stress, focus and relationships with a calmer mind.
